Roundhill Farm to A43
This short path follows the original line of Tusmore Road to the A43. It also forms an extension of the path from the B4100 to Tusmore. It is added here for completeness but please do not use this route to cross the A43.
At the A43 end of the road from Souldern, all road trafic is diverted left, past Roundhill Farm, towards Croughton and a road bridge over the A43.
Footpath signs: left is this route, right is the footpath back to Souldern via B4100 to Tusmore.
The gated entrance to the old road.
Although narrowed, remains of the original road surface make this a very easy path.
At the end, a gate to right leads in to the field.
A stile 40m along hedge leads to the main road.
The A43. Surprisingly there is still a right of way crossing this road.
Please do not cross. An easy walk from the start of the this path leads to the road bridge across the dual carriageway.
Despite these Pedestrians Crossing signs, drivers will not be expecting pedestrians on the road here. I would not consider it safe to cross here. (This image courtesy of Google Street view from the road.)
